Under the ADA, service dogs are trained to perform tasks that assist a person with a disability. While the ADA does not grant public access rights to service dogs in training, Florida law does. In Florida, service dogs in training are allowed the same public access as fully trained service dogs when accompanied by a trainer.
What We Follow in Our Free Service Dog in Training Class We follow ADA guidelines for task-based training and Florida law for public access of service dogs in training. Our classes focus on positive, ethical training, proper behavior in public, and task development to support individuals with disabilities.
