(Be Aware Of The Risks With All Inside Activities)
It is important that your dog get daily exercise when his or her activities are limited. Indoor exercise will help to stimulate your dog's physical and mental state. It is a great time to bond with your dog and enhance the relationship between Pack Leader—you—and the dog. We suggest the following activities:
If you are lucky enough in Florida to have a two-story house, run your dog up and down the stairs.
Play hide and seek with a quail scented bumper.
Make your dog work for its food/treats while doing obedience drills
Have your dog work on retrieving.
Get your dog on the treadmill.
Play tug of war with your dog.
"Caring for animals is our responsibility." Husbandry at home can help strengthen the bond with your dog and make vet visits easier.
