Our pack walk is for service dogs and service dogs in training. You do not need to be apart of our training programs to join us on our pack walks, they are open to the public. Handlers are happy to socialize and share their knowledge with other service dog lovers after the walk. We host our walks in the Tampa parks.
Wheelchair handlers are welcome.
Pack walks will be on the 4th Saturday starting at 8:30am during October - April each year. They will be at Tampa parks. We will meet in the main parking lot to start our 1 mile walk with our pets.
Pack Walk Rules
1) When you arrive, have your dog sit outside of your vehicle for at least five minutes. 2) Please keep your distance from other walkers, dogs, and people in the park. 3) Do not allow your dog to meet face to face with other dogs. 4) Keep your dogs 6 feet away from other dogs. Some dogs have issues with other dogs especially if they are reactive dogs. 5) Ask before approaching or getting close to other dogs. This is not recommended and is not allowed during the pack walk. 6) Pack walks are to establish and execute calm behavior during the walk. We want the dogs to feed off of your calm demeanor. 7) Please do not baby talk or make high pitch sounds to the dog. This can create anxiety for the dogs. 8) No food or treats are allowed during the walks. 9) Your dogs may not sniff the ground or pee during the walk. This creates discipline. 10) Please bring poop bags to pick up the mess that your dog makes. 11) Please make sure you bring water for both you and your dog.
